- Man killed by Vancouver police suffered paranoid delusions, family says
Family members of a man shot and killed by police say Paul Boyd was a gentle soul who suffered from a mental disorder that could send him into a spiral of delusional paranoia.
Boyd's family issued a statement to the media at a police news conference, saying he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder when he was in his early 20s.

- Health coalition calls on Ontario to lead the way on environmental carcinogens
A coalition of health groups has challenged the Ontario government to become the first jurisdiction in Canada to aggressively target environmental carcinogens that they say will continue to kill tens of thousands of people if politicians fail to act.
Pesticides, cosmetics, industrial cleaners and other products containing potentially toxic chemicals should face tougher scrutiny and regulation, said a coalition that includes Cancer Care Ontario, the Canadian Cancer Society, the Ontario Medical Association and others.

Just exactly who's allowed into North America, and how long they can stay, could be heavily influenced by the complex web of initiatives known as the Security and Prosperity Partnership.
Canada, the United States and Mexico are collaborating on more than a dozen traveller security programs that fall under three umbrellas: creating trusted border documents, developing compatible immigration measures, and sharing information on high-risk travellers.
