Lucy Zilio is the host, associate producer and writer of the informative and entertaining (infotainment) segments seen weekdays and weekends, throughout the day, on OMNI.1 and OMNI.2 television. Described as “one of the most upbeat, energetic and entertaining personalities on the TV scene”, Lucy’s job is to keep viewers from switching channels. She has worked for OMNI-TV for 9 years.
Lucy earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Guelph where she majored in French and Italian. She got her first taste of broadcasting while teaching in France when she was invited as a guest panelist on a radio show. This quickly led to a 10 year career in radio news where she worked as an anchor and reporter all over Ontario (Tillsonburg, Kitchener, Cambridge and Toronto) and was part of the original anchor team that launched 680News.
A strong supporter of the community, Lucy regularly hosts charity events for organizations such as the Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation, United Way, Sunnybrook Hospital, CNIB and Microskills.
