Marinara Sausages with Fettuccini Carbonara - Casa Di Giorgio
Ingredients for Sausages:
- 1 large Italian Sausage sliced
- 1/2 a Red pepper sliced
- 1/2 a Green pepper sliced
- 1/4 red onion sliced
- 1/2 tsp salt/li>
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 1 cup of marinara sauce
- 1 tbsp olive oil
In a large pan heat the olive oil. Add the onion and sauté until tender. Add the red and green peppers and sauté for a couple of minutes. Add the sausages and cook for about 3 minutes. Add the salt, pepper and garlic. Mix well all the ingredients and add the marinara sauce. Let it simmer for a couple of minutes. Set aside.
Ingredients for Fettuccini Carbonara:
- 1/2 cup of chopped bacon
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 1 cup of 35% cream
- 2 egg yolks/li>
- 2 tsp parmesan cheese
- 1 cup of cooked fettuccini pasta
Add the bacon into a large heated pan. Let it fry for a couple of minutes and then add the garlic. Mix well and let the bacon cook for another couple of minutes. Add salt & pepper, mix and let cook for another minute. Beat the 2 egg yolks and mix thoroughly with the cream. Add the cream to the bacon and mix everything well. Let it simmer for about a minute. Add the cooked fettuccini and mix it with the sauce. Add the parmesan cheese and mix again. Serve in a plate together with the sausages.
