Ingredients
- 1 Finely chopped Onion or 2 TBSP of Ready-Made Fried Onions
- ½ tsp. Garlic Paste
- ½ tsp. Ginger Paste
- 1 tsp. Chili Powder
- ¼ tsp. Turmeric
- ½ tsp. Coriander Powder
- ½ tsp. Cumin Seed Powder
- 1 Tomato
- 1 small can Tomato Sauce
- 1 cup cooked Potatoes cubed
- 1 - 1 ½ lbs. of Extra Lean Ground Beef
- Salt to taste
- 3 tbsp. water (more or less)
- 1 - 2 tbsp. Vegetable Oil
Kachubar
- 1 cup chopped Onion
- 1 cup sliced Cucumbers
- ½ cup chopped Coriander
- 1 or 2 chopped Green Chilies - to taste
- Chili Powder to taste
Preparation Kheemo-Chaaval
- Saute garlic paste, ginger paste, chili powder, tumeric, coriander powder, cumin seed powder and salt in oil.
- Add onion and sauté.
- Mix in coriander and tomato
- Add ground beef. Cook and brown.
- Add tomato sauce and water. Simmer for 10 minutes
- Add cubed potatoes
- Make rice.
Serve on a bed of rice, or with rice mixed in.
Preparation of Kachubar
- Add chopped onions, sliced cucumbers, chopped coriander, green chili
- Sprinkle with chili powder.
Serve on top of Kheemo-Chaval or serve on the side.
