Ingredients
- 1 kg package of medium ground beef
- 1 packet of dried Lipton Onion Soup Mix
- ¼ tsp. salt
- ½ tsp. red chili crushed
- ½ tsp. "National" brand garam marsala (all spices)
- 1 tbsp. bread crumbs
- Few leaves of fresh coriander
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 2 (match sized) sticks of fresh ginger
- 3 tbsp. spaghetti sauce
- 1 egg
- 4 onions chopped
- 5 tbsp. of cooking oil
Preparation
- In a bowl add 1/8 cup of water and mix with dried Onion Soup mix. Mix and leave for 1 minute. Add salt, pepper, garam masala, red chili and the egg. Mix well with spoon.
- Add meat to this mixture, then bread crumbs. Mix it with your hands, and make meatballs 2 inches round in shape.
Sauce Preparation
- Brown the onion in a pot at medium heat in oil, until brown.
- Add garlic and ginger into the pot and cook for 3 to 4 minutes.
- Let cool, then blend mixture in blender while adding spaghetti sauce.
- Boil ½ cup of water in a pot. Add the blended sauce to it and simmer for 3 minutes.
- Add meatballs, cover and cook on medium heat for 10 minutes.
- Turn the meatballs over, and cook for another 10 minutes. (Until the oil is separated from the sauce.
- Add coriander just before serving, and serve with rice or Naan.
