Gino Marrocco - "Salvatore"
Gino Marrocco started acting on stage at the age of 5 and was a seasoned full time professional by the age of 13 when he started his TV career in live television. He appeared in most television series and film productions of the 50s, 60s and 70s. During that time he was also very active in theatre and toured with the Crest Theatre Hour Co. and the Young People's Theatre. Marrocco was founder and Artistic Director of Backdoor Theatre, in Toronto, for more than twenty years, where he produced and directed many original Canadian plays, as well as conducting drama workshops. Marrocco has written three children's plays that have been produced successfully a number of times. Since the start of his career, Marrocco has appeared in more than 300 radio, TV and film productions. Most recently Marrocco has had guest/principal roles in a number of Movies of the Week, TV series and feature films including: Doc, Queer as Folk, The Big Heist, Crime Spree, Avenging Angelo, Mary Higgins-Clark's Mysteries, Sue Thomas F.B. Eye, Wild Card, Cinderella Man and a recurring role for two seasons in Showtime's TV series Street Time. Currently Marrocco plays the role of Sal (Salvatore) in Metropia. Gino's most rewarding and satisfying role to date has been, and continues to be, the raising of his 16 year old son, Adam, as a single parent.
