Cast Bios - "Aviva"

Jessica Heafey has several years of performing from the East to the West coast in both French and English. This perfectly bilingual actor and rising young Canadian talent is just finishing work on the short film Hands Down with Director Aubrey Singer. She can currently be seen as a series regular on the CBC/Radio-Canada’s bilingual series, Ciao Bella and as the recurring character of “Aviva” on the Toronto-based, cross-cultural drama series Metropia – currently airing on OMNI Television. Other notable television appearances for Jessica include work on Jeremiah and John Doe. Her recent theatre work includes: Nicole in Molière’s Le Bourgeois gentilhomme and Armande in Les Femmes savantes, Nastenka in Les Nuits blanches, all at the Théâtre français de Toronto; and Luce in Les Voisins and Pascale in Cendres de cailloux at Théâtre la seizième, a performance for which she received a Jessie Award in 2002. An Ottawa native, Ms. Heafey currently resides in Toronto, but continues to work coast-to-coast.
